Coat - Cinzia Rocca | Blouse - H&M | Bag - Etsy
Last weekend, my boyfriend and I spent our raining Saturday afternoon at the Noguchi Museum in Queens. It was amazingly beautiful and really inspiring. I absolutely loved the minimalism of the entire space. The museum is dedicated entirely to the work of Isamu Noguchi, which he himself established and designed. I highly recommend visiting. I bet it's even better on a nice day when the garden is in full bloom!

Heaven in bed

I'm so obsessed with my bed, it's terrible. I never want to leave it in the morning and I immediately jump into it when I get home. How could I not? It's just so comfyyyy. I finally feel like my room is coming together and I am so excited to share it all with the interwebz when it's complete. The only thing I'm still on the hunt for now are new throw pillow cases. I have a few in mind but can't commit just yet. I'm waiting to come across cases I absolutely love at a reasonable price point. I did however make this super easy DIY macramé wall hanging a couple weeks ago. The wall adjacent to my bed was feeling a bit bare so I wanted to make something simple to compliment the frames on the opposite side of the room. HERE is the How To if you're interested in creating it yourself! I changed a few things around to customize it to my liking. I used a 2'-6" long copper pipe instead of the suggested 2'-0" to make the overall size larger to fill more of the wall. This means I also made the length of each rope longer. I used clothesline rope instead of cotton piping because I couldn't find cotton piping at my local Home Depot. I got ALL the supplies from Home Depot by the way, one stop shop! And because of my laziness, I didn't want to hacksaw the 3 middle pipes (or buy a hacksaw), so I stacked a bunch of couplings instead. This DIY only included 5 materials for me in total: copper pipes, copper couplings, clothesline rope, scissors and a tape measure/ruler. Super simple and not crazy time consuming, it only took me a night to complete. Give it a try!

Needless to say, life has been so amazing lately. I recently started a new job as Retail Design and Construction Associate at JONATHAN ADLER. Holllaaaa! I absolutely love it and am so grateful to have this opportunity. I've been wanting to focus more on retail design and this position is exactly what I've been looking for. On top of a great new job, my boyfriend and I have been together for a year now and could not be happier. He keeps a smile on my face :). My friends rule, always. I don't even need to state that. Especially Dominique and Nicole, I really don't know what I'd do without them. Let's also take a moment to appreciate the fact that my apartment building just opened a bomb-ass gym in the basement. Now I can get fit FO FREE. All I need now is a cute puppy and I'll be set. 2014, you've been real good to me so far ;) What else do you have in store?!

Refinery29 feature!

Photos by: Claire Esparros with Homepolish

Shots from my shopping trip and tips with Rachel of The Style Line that was recently featured on Refinery29! We spent the day together planning and shopping for Rachel's future office in Manhattan. We found some great deals that really work with her concept of incorporating different cities from around the world into her interior aesthetic. Take a look HERE!

Summer Air

Finally scanned these photos from last Summer. Oh what I would give to be in the warm summer air, eating lollipops and sunbathing.

J Hilburn

SORRY. I'm the worst blogger ever. I've been so busy lately, I've been neglecting the blogesphere.

So back in October, Lorenzo, a fellow Homepolish designer, and I teamed up to design J Hilburn's pop up shop in SoHo. We were super inspired by J Hilburn's custom tailoring, we had to incorporated it throughout the store. We worked with a lot of vintage wooden spools and created an amazing hanging focal piece when you first enter the store. We were really aiming to create a space that was a reflection of their brand and strayed away from looking "temporary" since the shop was only open for a few weeks. I must say, I think we did a good job. Elle Decor and Esquire even featured it!

When we started the space looked like this:
I think we really helped transform it into something great. Plus it was a lot of fun putting it all together (minus detangling all the hanging spools)

Suit me up!

So it's New York Fashion Week, which means a lot of running around for most people. I'd like to say I take a brisk walk through fashion week. It's a little too hectic for me so I try to limit my involvement by attending an event here and there. Maybe a presntation or two and top it off with a runway show and no more. I wore this adorable little get up to a Tumblr x Sony event that showcased two of my pretty amazing friends, Rachel and Nicole. If it weren't for them being featured at that event, the above photos would have probably been pictures of me in that neat suit eating pizza on the couch.

Bad things

Dress & boots - ASOS
Photos by Cait McCarthy

Sometimes friends make you do bad (good) things. My friend Erin is the worst (best). She always tells me when she finds a great deal online leading me to immediately start online shopping. This dress is the result of one of HER purchases. She told me she bought a ton of great things from ASOS on sale which made ME buy this dress (and another). My friends are seriously my biggest influence in life. From inspiring me creatively to inspiring me to shop. Basically in every aspect of life. I'm down with it though, I fucking love this dress!

Daily Candy - Sneak Peek

Light Fixture - City Furniture

Yo! I'm super excited to share with you a sneak peek of a feature I'm doing with Homepolish x Daily Candy! It's a little DIY feature on Gallery Walls that will be out in about two weeks (so check back for it!).

I was lucky enough to be invited into the home of Tiffany, the Everywhere Editor of Daily Candy. She is quite possibly the sweetest woman alive and was such a pleasure to work with. We had a lot of fun with this project and I really love the way it came out. Can't wait to post the final product when the feature goes live!
