I've gone MIA, I know. I've just been busy seeing/creating beautiful things.
It's all happening.

Adore Me

If you've been following my little bloggy for a while now, then you might recall my love for undergarments. I've always had a huge obsession with lingerie. When Adore Me reached out to me a year ago, I was more than happy to collaborate with them. Last time they sent me something from their collection, I opted for a set I could wear with an actual outfit. This time around I went with something a little more sexy and intimate. I selected a lace unlined bra and panty set and I couldn't be more happy with it. Personally, unlined bras are my favorite because I find them more comfortable and love the natural feel. I'm also a boyshorts kinda gal ;)

What's great about Adore Me is their brand's ability to cater to what you like. If you're into lingerie as much as I am, you should really considering becoming a member of their site. There's a ton of perks! There's absolutely no membership fee, all styles are only $39.99 (try beating that at Victoria Secret), every 6th set is gifted to you by them, there are exclusive sales just for members, shipping & returns are free and your first item is 20% off! Come on, how great does that sound? Get on it girls!

Architectural Digest

Mess top & white tank - H&M | Black Jeans - Urban Outfitters | Hat - Urban Jungle | Booties - ASOS
Photos by Dominique Guarino & yours truly

Oops, guess I disappeared for a while. I haven't been bringing my camera around lately so opportunities to shoot any photos have been pretty slim. This past weekend however, I had to make my annual visit to the Architectural Digest Home Design Show at Pier 94. Managed to get in a couple quick outfit shots afterwards. Been sticking mainly to a black and white palette these days since I've been busy with a lot of other creative projects. Putting an outfit together is the last thing I my mind. Will hopefully be sharing some of my many projects with you all soon! Unfortunately, I didn't get any good shots of my two favorite designs, but below are a few of my favorites from the Dining by Design section of the show.

An interactive wall of dark chocolate Hershey kisses. You were allowed to take a chocolate to help transform the wall from purple to silver.

They do this design show every year at the Pier. Stop by if you ever get the chance! It's always a great source of inspiration.

Off to the side

Jumpsuit - Buffalo Exchange | Crop top - Urban Outfitters | Pumps - Zara
Metal side table - West Elm

Love a good midriff look. Love a good midriff look randomly standing next a beautiful side table even more. I've finally begun collecting pieces I love that will one day be in my home/apartment when I decide to stop living like a poor Brooklyn rat. My apartment right now is furnished with things that were left behind, found in our hallway, or bought from Ikea. What I eventually want is a beautifully curated living space. I believe buying furniture should be done in the same manner as collecting art or clothes. Very rarely does one buy a whole collection of art or an entire wardrobe at once. Why should furniture be any different? I think gradually building a collection allows you to buy the pieces you really love and cherish.

HAIM

HAIM's new video for 'Falling' just came out. I've been so obsessed with them the past few months. Their sound is a perfect mix of current and 80's vibes. I'm so stoked to see them at The Governor's Ball in June. PLUS their style is on point. Check out their other videos here!

Hear me roar

Skirt - Wardrobe to the People via Bat Haus | Reconstructed velvet crop top - Urban Jungle | Jewelry - Flea Market

My girl Falosha Martin did it again with another amazing piece she curated for her vintage shop. I bought this skirt from her a while back and knew I immediately had to have it. I don't have many animal print pieces in my wardrobe so I thought this light and airy skirt would be the perfect addition. The bohemian vibe is what did me over. Being bare foot while wearing it just feels right, ya know? I've always strayed away from animal print because I think if a pattern is not done right, it could look extremely tacky. This skirt (in my opinion) is perfect! The print is large and has great color variation. The sheerness of the fabric also makes it such a lovely piece. I'm stoked to wear it in the summer with just a bathing suit top on the beach or some other paradise.

Woof

Fur coat - Bat Haus Flea | "Models Suck" Shirt - Gift from Marc | High waisted jeans - Urban Outfitters | Boots - Zara | Assorted rings - Flea Markets | Dainty knuckle rings - Jewels and Notes

Two things I've learned since taking these photos. 1) Don't let Cherie take your photos in front of a line of parked cars, it makes for a terrible backdrop. It leads me to believe I'm either on the streets of SoHo on the weekend or in front of a very busy McDonalds drive thru. And 2) Flat boots will always make my legs look short in photographs.

Also models suck. Jaykay, my Bff4e&e is a model...who ironically gave me this shirt. I know, I know, all that matters is there's an English bulldog on it. That's what I think too. With everybody else getting crazy over Fashion Week, I couldn't help but do the opposite and lounge in a comfy shirt and fluffy fur coat. It just so happened that Fashion Week started on my birthday this year, which meant I partook in more birthday activities than Fashion Week activities. Instead of going to the Herve Leger show Saturday, I went to birthday brunch with my sister. I KNOW, what was I thinking right? Fashion or Food? Food obviously won. But I did check out the collection on the interwebz and I must say I was impressed with this season and kind of bummed I decided to opt out. The only show I went to was the Rag & Bone menswear collection. Mainly because my best friend Marc (the one who gave me this shirt) walked it. Here are a few snaps from the show:

Happy Fashion Week you fashion freaks!
